Have you seen the story of the bedouin Palestinian who married 20 women and fathered 65 children? An Israeli Arab journalist called me the other day and aksed if my newspaper was interested in interviewing the man. I told him I didn't want an interview.
I only want to know what this bedouin eats.

Thought of the Day

I don't know what the Arab summit in Riyadh, starting tomorrow, will do. I know what it will not do.
The Arab heads of state, of whom 18 will be attending, will not amend the Arab initiative.
They will not endorse normalization of relations with Israel until after an Israeli-Palestinian settlement.
Consequently, there will be no Arab summit with Israel.
There will be no one-on-one meeting between Israeli and Saudi officials, but low level Saudi officials may attend meetings of officials from many countries, including Americans.
King Abdullah Ben Abdel Aziz will not visit Israel, not this year, not next year, not any year. If he does, I will be ready to call it a day and quit this business. I want the readers of this blog to hold me responsible.

Thought of the Day

In today's WP, Charles Krauthammer protests the conviction of "Scooter" Libby. He would, wouldn't he? He is an extremist warmonger and as such an accessory to muder in Iraq, an abettor who soils the pages of the venerable Washington Post with his venom. He has the gall to question the credibility and knowledge of a special prosecutor, a judge and a jury. A trial of the war party must be followed by a trial of the facilitators in the media and think tanks. I offer Krauthammer as candidate for trial from the latter category.

Thought of the Day

So Lewis Libby is found guilty of four felony counts out of five. Put the name of Dick Cheney in place of this "Scooter" to understand the verdict. I am a citizen of the Third, maybe 10th, World and I don't understand American justice. Cheney led a war party responsible for the death of 650,000 Iraqis but gets charged, via Libby, for making false statements and obstructing justice. It is like a criminal who shoots dead a woman in the street and is tried for carrying an unlicensed gun. The war party killed not one but thousands of women and children and I am waiting for the day when members are tried for the more serious crime of murder rather than syphoning to Haliburton Iraq's reconstruction funds.
